Staff Quick-Start Session

A ready-to-run 15-minute staff meeting agenda so every teacher starts on the same page. Read this page aloud, follow the times, and you are ready to begin.

Before You Start (0 minutes)

Have ready: Start Here, the Teacher Starter Pack, and the Class Progress Tracker for each teacher.

Minutes 0-3: Why We Are Doing This

Say: Our goal is a safer, kinder school where every student knows how to speak up, help a classmate, and tell a trusted adult. This program gives us short, ready classroom exercises to keep that message going all year.

Minutes 3-6: The 30-Day Plan

Walk through Start Here together. Point out the 30-day steps and where each teacher finds their exercises by age band: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.

Minutes 6-10: Try One Exercise Together

Run a short exercise as a staff, such as Caring for Each Other (Sharing Kindness) or Cheer. Ask: What would this look like with students?

Minutes 10-13: Reporting and Next Steps

Agree how students report concerns in your school, where the reporting box or forms live, and who teachers tell. Hand out the Class Progress Tracker so each class can check off its steps.

Minutes 13-15: Questions and Start Date

Answer questions, agree a start date for the 30-day plan, and point teachers to the Exercise Finder and the Full-Year Calendar for what comes after day 30.
