Speak Up

he goal for this task is to get the students to express how they feel in any situation. Understanding different expressions will help them to react appropriately.

Contents:

  • Sample role playing sheet
  • Sample certificate

Instructions:

Monday – The teacher will discuss emotions: e.g. happy, sad, anger, mad etc.

Tuesday – The teacher will discuss mean hurtful words and acts, e.g. being left out of a group, whispering, gossiping, etc.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – Set up role playing groups:
Each group will write out a scenario or use examples attached.

Situation #1 – Being left out of a group.
Set up a schedule of when groups will present to the class.

Open class discussion after each presentation.

Hand out certificate on last day of presentations.
