Start with Week 1. Hold your kick-off day, form your committee, run the pre-survey, and take the pledge. Everything after that builds on those four steps, one week at a time.
Your 30-Day Follow-Up Plan
- Week 1 — Hold your kick-off day. Bring the whole school together to launch the program and set the tone. See Kick Off Day for ideas, including the assembly, class discussion, class reporting box, postcard day, beading, and puzzle day.
- Week 1 — Form the anti-bullying committee. Gather a small team of staff and students who will keep the program moving. See the Anti-Bullying Committee page to get started.
- Week 1 — Run the pre-survey. Find out where your school is starting from, so you can see real change later. Use the UNLIMITED online surveys.
- Week 1 — Take the class pledge. Have every class make the pledge together, so every student hears the same promise in the same week. See the PLEDGE page.
- Weeks 2–4 — Run one classroom exercise each week, by age group. Choose the exercises that fit your students: PRIMARY K-3, Intermediate 4-6, or Middle/High School 7-12. One short exercise a week is enough — keep it regular, and keep it fun.
- Every month — Keep the message visible with a monthly theme or event. Try a Banner display, a SHIRT DAY, MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS with ready-to-use scripts, and a moment to recognize teachers who are going the extra mile for kindness in their classrooms.
- Day 90 — Re-survey your students. Run the same survey again through the UNLIMITED online surveys, so you can compare like with like.
- Use your survey results. Share the results with your Anti-Bullying Committee, celebrate what improved, and pick one or two areas to focus on next. Keep the exercises and announcements going in the areas where students still need the most support, and invite parents in through Parent Involvement and the Mentoring Program.
A Few Tips That Make It Stick
- Keep it small and steady. One exercise a week beats a big burst that fades.
- Let students lead where they can — announcements, banners, and pledge displays work best when students own them.
- Keep reporting easy and safe. Remind students often how and where they can tell a trusted adult.
- Thank your teachers. A quick public thank-you in an announcement goes a long way.
